Her first book, 'The Voyage to Excellence', published in 2005, established her as the youngest non-fiction business author of her times at the age of 18. Another book, 'Citi and its Scuffle with the Watchdogs' was published in 2014. Her third book, and debut novel, Victims for Sale, was released by HarperCollins worldwide in January 2018.  As a fiction writer, Nischinta, who had a near-death experience at the age of 10, portrays her characters in an alternate reality, infusing her work with elements of magic and mysticism in ordinary and real settings.

She majored in Economics with Distinction. She holds post-graduate degrees in media communications and business journalism from the London School of Economics and Political Science and Columbia University, where she was a business reporting Fellow.
